Family friend suggested this place when she heard we were in the hunt for some good food. Definitely delivered. Best ramen I’ve yet to have in the states. Wow… Please go. Oh, and make sure to load up the bowl like I did. Those little extras really elevated the dish. Next time I’m back, I’m going again for sure.

On my walkabout of Boston, used my handy Chefs Feed app’s map feature to see what I was nearby. I found myself at The Salty Pig restaurant, but unfortunately upon arrival, did not see the recommended Pâté Sammich on the menu. Found out from the waiter that they change it up every now and then and to expect it back on their menu in the near future. When asked what’s a solid choice outside the recommended option via the never-steered-me-wrong app, he told me The Salty Pig Charcuterie is a solid choice as the Pâté that is found on the Pâté Sammich, is on the charcuterie. Delish!

One of Chef Ford Fry’s other quality establishment. This was one of the other locations in Atlanta that I had not yet visited and definitely enjoyed myself! Had some time before the fashion shoot with Christine, so thought it might be best to warm up a bit (it was probably low 20’s with the wind chill). A solid little menu, but I was definitely more interested in the Sticky Bun. 🙂 Just saw it in the window on my way into the restaurant and couldn’t get it off my mind.
Come check this place out sometime! A solid eatery. Will need to come back for dinner.

Continuing our search for places with macarons brings us to Honey Bubble. They’re actually known for their drinks but had to make the choice between eating a few macarons or try their drinks; after our dinner at Rosebud we just didn’t have the space for both. Bought a few try and the lemon was definitely the favorite.
Having looked at their menu, I really want to try is their taro with tapioca pearls, seems to be their best seller.

Decided it would be best to explore Virginia Highlands a bit before I start my travels again. It’s frankly a part of town I rarely seem to be drawn to despite having a solid array of restaurants and bars; a charming part of Atlanta that I do hope to check out more. Chose two places that evening: Honey Bubble for their macaroon selection and Rosebud for some dinner. The better dishes in my mind were the Kobe burger and the crab cake on sweet potato hash. Really enjoyed the Gourmet Magazine art work on the wall (posted a photo on my instagram if you’re interested).
Thanks for coming by! 🙂
