With the weather warming up, it’s a fine time to visit the Atlanta Food Truck Park once again! Sometimes you play a game of food truck roulette but the two places I went to this go around were pretty solid. I especially enjoyed the offerings of the Smoke-fried wings. The mango thai chili glaze really made you want to go back for another bite; sweet, savory, spicy, smokey, with a slight crisp per frying the wings.

Family friend suggested this place when she heard we were in the hunt for some good food. Definitely delivered. Best ramen I’ve yet to have in the states. Wow… Please go. Oh, and make sure to load up the bowl like I did. Those little extras really elevated the dish. Next time I’m back, I’m going again for sure.

Finally got to visit Chicago!
Having heard so many great things about the city, it begs the question, “Why didnt I go and visit sooner?!” Coming that weekend for the purpose of a wedding, I came with some friends and suggested that we hit up this restaurant; I’ve been wanting to try it for some time. If you do want to go, my suggestion is to make a reservation like 4-6 weeks out. It was pretty tough to find a reservation, but to be fair it was for 11 people so I guess I’ll just put a ‘YMMV’.
A really easy going and chill atmosphere, it’s definitely a restaurant that is there to make sure you’re taken care of. Even as it got closer to closing time, it was noted that the kitchen would stay open until we didn’t want to order anything more. I dont think I’ve ever heard that before; quite awesome!
Favorites were definitely the wood oven roasted pig face, roasted cauliflower, grilled baby octopus, crisp braised pork shank… ok, there were a lot of solid dishes. Feel free to be adventurous and just let the people there help order for you. My only negative, and it might have been that night, but the green beans were four or five pinches too salty but outside of that, the meal was good!

On my walkabout of Boston, used my handy Chefs Feed app’s map feature to see what I was nearby. I found myself at The Salty Pig restaurant, but unfortunately upon arrival, did not see the recommended Pâté Sammich on the menu. Found out from the waiter that they change it up every now and then and to expect it back on their menu in the near future. When asked what’s a solid choice outside the recommended option via the never-steered-me-wrong app, he told me The Salty Pig Charcuterie is a solid choice as the Pâté that is found on the Pâté Sammich, is on the charcuterie. Delish!
