After a fun trip to the city visiting the sights, met back up with the family/relatives for some dinner at The Magic Wok. Yu Pien (sliced stir fried fish) and the Kangkong belacan (stir fried water spinach with fermented shrimp paste) were my favorite. I feel you can’t go wrong with Kangkong belacan, at least I haven’t yet.

Came with my cousin for a quick snack before dinner. From what I gathered, its open 24/7/365. Holy smokes! This place is so awesome, good food and opened ALL the time?! I wish there was something like that in Atlanta. But that Roti Tisu was interesting, really thin and had a sugar dusted crust. More of a sweet snack, perhaps would even consider a dessert.
Parking
Plenty of parking in nearby lot.

A really fun dinner with a whole lot of relatives and family, not to mention the food was quiet nice! Highlights for me were the fried carrot cakes and the xiaolongbao. The chong yiu bang and wor teep will never compare to my uncle’s home made ones, but were not bad. 🙂
Parking
Plenty of parking in the parking deck. There was a fee but am uncertain the cost.

After some lunch, my cousin took me to go get some sweets inside the mall. They had Hoon Tau Sah!! My favorite!! A slightly sweet red bean soup that just hits the spot. Not as good as the hawker stands in Kampar, but I still welcome multiple bowls of the stuff. 🙂

After a long night out, the cousins and I decided it would be best to grab a nice breakfast before meeting up with the rest of the family/relatives. The Kopi (coffee), Kaya Toast, and Curry puff definitely hit the spot!

Right outside our time at Restoran Mee Yoke Lim there was a wonderful sound of crackling and this amazing aroma of fried goods. Without a second of hesitation, as a group we went to investigate. Fresh You Tiao and Ham Chim Peng?!?! Totally ended up buying some for the road. If I recall correctly, not many made it back to the house…
Parking
Parking can be difficult with so many businesses being around the area. We had to loop around a few times before finding one. Granted this was around lunch time. Good luck!
